Health & Safety Surveillance: Hazardous substance management

Companies are required to maintain a hazardous substances register listing all the hazardous substances they used and giving details of quantities. SAP EH&S HSS provides a hazardous substances register with a wide range of functions.

HSS also helps companies to identify alternative substances. This allows the company to minimize the quantity of hazardous substances it has to purchase and to reduce the overall number of different substances it uses.

HSS makes for convenient management and easy updating of data sheets. Other documents such as operating procedures (Internal Plant Instructions) and labels can be created in a standardized format an/or managed in the database. The solution allows hazardous substances to be seamlessly tracked and documented as they make their way through the company.
