REACH Update

The Commission Regulation (EC) No 552/2009 which was published in the Official Journal No L164 of 26 June 2009 updates the Annex XVII (REACH).

Annex XVII of the REACH regulation (Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006) was revised regarding the restrictions on use and placing on the market. The Commission Regulation (EC) No 552/2009 contains the new Annex XVII. The REACH regulation has repealed and replaced the marketing directive No 76/769/EEC. Annex XVII was therefore adapted with regard to the corresponding restrictions. Its title was also replaced by the following:

"Restrictions on the manufacture, placing on the market and use of certain dangerous substances, mixtures and articles."
